RAWALPINDI, (MILLAT/APP): Eighty percent decrease of dengue cases was
recorded in 2016 compared to 2015 due to surveillance and timely spray, District Officer (EDO) Health Dr Amir Sheikh here Thursday said.
Chairing a meeting to review anti-dengue arrangements, the DO expressed
the hope in 2017 dengue fever patients would witness further decline compared to the previous years as early preventive measures Including surveillance is being carried out daily to eliminate dengue larvae from spreading.
He said the waste disposal bags are being distributed by the Solid Waste
Department in Rawal Town area to ensure cleanliness.
