Dozens of electric rods, geysers heaters seized
ASTORE, (MILLAT ONLINE):The district administration have intensified crackdown against power stealers in different areas of the district and seized dozens of geysers, rods and heaters connected directly with power supply lines.
On the directives of Deputy Commissioner, the magistrates and assistant commissioners raided in different areas by seizing geysers, rods, heaters and other equipments through which power supply was being provided through direct hocks.
The DC said the use of electricity was increased due to excessive use of power equipments owing to peak winter season, and that directs hocks were overloading the power distribution system.
He said zero tolerance against power stealing was adopted and culprits would be sent to jails.
Officials found guilty in facilitating power stealers would also not be spared, he explained.
He urged people to cooperate with WAPDA to ensure smooth flow of electricity to consumers in winter season.
