DPO inspects performance of DRC Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP): District Police Officer (DPO), Abbottabad,
Syed Ishfaq Anwar on Tuesday visited Dispute Resolve Committee (DRC) Abbottabad and reviewed the progress.
Chairman DRC Abbottabd Gen. (R) Ayaz Rana welcomed and briefed the DPO
about the progress and said that DRC Abbottabad received 889 grievances from people during 2014 to till date. He further said that most of the issues belonged to family matters, property and financial disputes.
Giving details of performance DRC Abbottabad secretary Sarfraz said the
committee was established in 2014 and in the same year it received 222 grievances while during year 2015 it received 170 and 276 complaints were received during 2016 wherein 201 disputes were resolved.
During the first three months of year 2017 DRC Abbottabad received 221
complainants where 158 issues were resolved.
He said that within a short span of time DRC Abbottabad got the
confidence of masses and resolved huge number of cases where seven committees comprising three members each on daily basis hear the grievances of the complainants six days a week.
He disclosed that during the first quarter of the current year the
committee received 221 complaints while during previous three years DRC Abbottabad received 668 complaints which show the confidence of the masses in the performance of the DRC Abbottabad.
