SIALKOT, Mar 4 (APP): The Excise & Taxation Department
issued final notices to 10,000 defaulters for the recovery
of various taxes amounting to Rs 2 billion in six districts
of Gujranwala division.
According to E&T department senior officials, the department
had formed 100 recovery teams in six districts of Gujranwala
division which includes Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin,
Hafizabad and Gujranwala.
The department has also issued arrest warrants with advising
the defaulters to ensure the early clearance of their outstanding
dues within two weeks otherwise, their properties would be sealed
and auctioned with the help of local courts after the deadline.
