F-9 Park fence broken for PTI rally

ISLAMABAD, April 24 (APP): Small portion of fence around the main
gate of F-9 Park (Fatima Junnah Park) was Sunday broken for the Pakistan
Tehreek Insaf (PTI) meeting being held to celebrate the party’s 20th foundation day.
Residents of the Capital expressed displeasure over breaking of the fence, saying they were already fearing that the poltical gathering at the
park would destroy its beauty.
Muhammad Imran, a resident of Sector G-9, said the PTI’s scheduled
meeting had disturbed the routine of the daily visitors of the park,
including morning walk.
The beautiful F-9 Park was meant for jogging, walk, exercise and other healty activties but not a stadium to holed political meetings. Children in large numbers visited the park on Sunday to enjoy swings and playing games but this weekend they had remain at homes, he added.
Hashim Khan was critical of the participants of the meeting who were marring the park’s beauty by littering the place throwing bottles and food leftover.
Meanwhile, the participants of the rally were compaining about no
shading arrangments made for them to escape from the heat.
The PTI workers started reaching the venue from far flung areas and
were seen searching for shades to escape from the scortching sun.
