FGEHF acquiring additional land for Bhara Kahu housing scheme

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Federal Government Employees Housing
Foundation ( FGEHF) is acquiring about 12000 Knals more land for
Green Enclave-I housing scheme-Bhara Kahu to accommodate registered
members.
FGEHF has received over 80,000 applications for Bhara Kahu
housing scheme phase 1.
Efforts are being made to finalize the modalities of land
acquisition and subsequent development of sector with CDA.
The Housing Foundation executed an agreement with M/s Green
Tree for the purchase of 3000 kanals private land at Bhara Kahu,
Islamabad for FG Employees.
FGEJG says that land measuring 3153 kanals 07 marlas
has been transferred in the name of FGE Housing Foundation so far
and approximately 21,000 kanal lands is under acquisition.
The Land Acquisition Collector, ICT has issued notification
No. 392/2(193)DRA dated 27-05-2014 under section 4 of the Land
Acquisition Act 1894 for acquisition of 6932 kanals land situated in
Mauza Sakrilla Bhara Kahu Islamabad.
Moreover, 14611 kanal land has been surveyed and verified as
available in Mauza chak Malata Dakhli Phulgran, Mauza Dohala Syedan
and Mauza Phulgran, Bhara Kahu Islamabad. Housing foundation intends
to acquire the said land through Land Acquisition Collector ICT too
as a part of Bhara Kahu extension to meet the housing requirement of
its registered members.
As per the report of NESPAK, the topographical data reveals
that there may be a shortfall of 775 plots out of 3244 plots. Hence,
as per tentative plan, there exist 2469 plots of different
categories
Due to reluctance to honour its obligation by M/S Green Tree,
litigation started and the matter has remained subjudice.
Recently, as a result of NAB intervention an addendum is being
signed by the both parties Housing Foundation and M/S Green Tree.
