Final phase of SWA TDPs’ repatriation to begin today

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): The final phase of repatriation of
displaced persons from South Waziristan has starts from Tuesday.
Talking to VOA, Assistant Political Agent of South
Waziristan Muhammad Shoaib said, “We ensured repatriation of
Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) from South Waziristan in
different phases since 2010. In these phases, more than 1, 08,000
families have returned to their homes.”
He said that final phase of repatriation has begin from
Tuesday, adding that efforts are being made to ensure return of
all the remaining TDPs in South Waziristan.
Responding to a question, Muhammad Shoaib, said, “According
to our estimate, more than one thousands families will be
rehabilitated in final phase. We have also issued list with the
names and addresses of the TDPs, who will return in final phase,
which will complete by April 8.”
Responding to a question, he said, “Khargai area of Tank
will be the point from where all displaced persons will be
registered before return to South Waziristan.”
Regarding facilities, Shoaib commented, “The government will
provide ten thousands rupees for transport facility while thirty
thousand rupees on account of Watan Card to each family. Moreover,
the government will provide free ration for first six months after
their return.”
