Four-day anti-polio drive starts in FATA

PESHAWAR, (APP): A four-day anti-polio drive began in
Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) and Frontier Regions amid strict security arrangements on Monday.
The campaign will be carried out in most affected areas of Khyber, North
and South Waziristan agencies.
At least 2,900 volunteers will take part in the drive which aims to
cover 997,000 children under the age of five.
In the drive held last month 98 percent children were covered while only
one percent refusals were recorded, the FATA health department said.
Meanwhile, Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has expressed satisfaction over
the last five campaigns and directed to continue the campaign with same spirit for achieving 100 percent result.
The Governor also decided to give awards to the officers, supervisors
