Girl dies as troops use force on protesters in IOK

ISLAMABAD, (APP): A teenage girl was killed and over a hundred
people were injured after Indian forces used brute force to disperse protesters in Shopian and other areas of the Indian Occupied Kashmir .
According to KMS, this killing raised the death toll in the ongoing
Kashmir Intifada to 105.
The 13-year-old girl, Khushboo Jan, a student of 7th class, suffered
cardiac arrest after Indian police and troops resorted to excessive force on the protesters near Chatwatan area of Shopian district. She was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
Witnesses said that Government High School Chatwatan went up in flames
when a teargas shell fired by the forces’ personnel landed inside it. “The building suffered an extensive damage,” they said. “A residential house, a cowshed and apple carton also caught fire after shells landed inside them,” they added.
Meanwhile, over a hundred people were injured, many of them
critically, dueto the firing of pellets and teargas shells by Indian troops and police in Vihil,Srinagar, Ganderbal, Sopore, Kulgam and other areas of the Kashmir Valley.
Indian troops vandalized the tents and took away 13 motor-bikes and
later set them ablaze at Tarzoo in Sopore to prevent a pro-freedom rally. The locals said that the police also arrested Hurriyet leader, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, in the area. Hurriyet leader, Abdus Samad Inqalabi, told mediamen that during a night raid at his Sumbal residence, a police party arrested his three brothers and nephew and shifted them to some unknown destination.
Indian forces also damaged four houses in Kaimoh area of Kulgam. The
forces’ personnel broke windowpanes of dozens of residential houses besides
hurling abuses at the inmates at New Theed in Srinagar. The police also arrested several youth after beating them to pulp in the area.
On the other hand, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state
terrorism,martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Handwara area of Kupwara district.
