LAHORE, Feb 20 (APP): Provincial Minister for Zakat and Ushr
Naghma Mushtaq said the provision of financial assistance
to the vulnerable segments of society was their national duty.
The Punjab government was taking revolutionary steps for
the rehabilitation of destitute persons, she added.
The minister expressed these views during a surprise visit
to Khanewal district office staff on Monday. The minister
emphasized that the staff should pay more attention to their
duties for better delivery of active system of Zakat and Ushr.
She expressed satisfaction on the delivery of Zakat funds
to deserving people.
Director Zakat and Ushr M. Ismail and concerned officers
were also present on this occasion.
