Heavenly village Gojal in GB centre of charm for foreign photographers

ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP): A heavenly village Gojal in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) has got attention of a professional photographer Matthieu Paley who through pictures showed the world about its people and scenic beauties which could otherwise have not been depicted. Matthieu Paley, who works with National Geographic has shared details about his visits to Gojal village near Passu (Upper Hunza). From one of thousand villages that he has been to, he keeps on visiting the Gojal village every year since 1999. The village had been getting periodic visits from tourists but rarely interacted with the rest of the world otherwise. Now the improved Karakoram highway and the advent of mobilephones in the village has brought the outside world to this isolatedregion. This has resulted in bringing in new lifestyles and increasing opportunities for the locals. The children can head off to universities outside of village and at times even out of the country.
