Hurriyat forum demands impartial probe into Zahid’s killing
ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat forum, in Indian occupied Kashmir, has demanded an impartial probe into the mysterious killing of a 19-year-old Kashmiri fruit dealer, Zahid Ahmed Butt, in Indian state of Rajasthan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “It is very unfortunate that while on one hand Kashmiris are unsafe in their own homeland as people irrespective of their age and gender are being killed, arrested, maimed and blinded while on the other, those doing business in India are also being made soft targets and brutally murdered.”
Zahid was found dead in a room in Rajasthan a few days ago. The forum observed that students, businessmen and even common Kashmiris were made targets in various Indian states and subjected to various forms of harassment. It’s an irony that the murder of Zahid Ahmed Butt was being given a colour of suicide by the puppet administration to hide its failure, it said.
“It is the moral responsibility of the heads of various states of India to give proper protection to all Kashmiri students, businessman, traders, fruit dealers and carpet sellers,” the forum demanded.
