MUZAFFARABAD,(MILLAT+APP): Hurriyet Forum led by Mirwaiz Umar
Farooq Wednesday welcomed the statement of newly appointed UN
Secretary General Antanio Guterres, who had offered for arbitration
between India and Pakistan over Kashmir.
In his statement issued from his office in Srinagar here on the
other day said time had come for the UN to play its role in
resolving Kashmir and bring India and Pakistan on negotiating table
to settle the core issue of Kashmir through meaningful dialogue
process and bring durable peace in the South region.
Mirwaiz hoped that newly appointed the UN Secretary
General would feel the sensitivity of Kashmir dispute and play his
positive role in this regard.
He said Kashmiri people were facing extreme human rights
violations at the hands of Indian forces and the UN had to move
forward to tackle the situation by engaging India and Pakistan in
peace process through dialogue.
