Hurriyet leaders remain under detention in occupied Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, (APP): The puppet authorities in occupied Kashimr
continue to detain almost all top Hurriyet leaders to prevent them from
leading demonstrations on Friday against India’s anti-Kashmir policies in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the call for holding of
demonstrations after Juma prayers was jointly given by the pro-freedom leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.
They were protesting against India’s plans to construct separate
colonies for retired Indian soldiers and Kashmiri Pandits, harassment of Jammu Muslims, Delhi’s so-called Industrial Policy in Kashmir and detention of Hurriyet leaders.
The occupation authorities continue to place Hurriyet leaders and
activists including Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin
Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Ghulam
Nabi Sumjhi, Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, Javaid Ahmed Mir, Altaf Ahmed Shah,
Showkat Ahmed Bakhshi and Ayaz Akbar under house arrest or behind the bars.
Meanwhile, people have hoisted black flags on the rooftops of their
houses and vehicles to register their protest against Indian plans.
