ICT admin establishes public facilitation centre

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT)
Administration had established a public facilitation centre to ease
the public.
International driving license, domicile and matter related to
armed licenses are dealt now through a one window operation at
Deputy Commissioner office Islamabad.
Talking to this agency, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC)
Waqas Rasheed said that the objective of the facilitation centre was
to facilitate the public and ensure transparency in the system.
He said International driving licenses process had been
modernized and updated to avoid incidents of fake documents
submission by applicants.
The form for this purpose had also been updated, which was
easy to fill and gather detailed information related to the
applicant, he said.
The ADC said the department was use to process the
International driving license within seven days.
He said about 600 applicants of driving license were being
dealt every month in ICT administration office.
These licenses are acceptable in all signatory countries of
Vienna Convention 1968, Waqas concluded.
