KARACHI, (MILLAT/APP): The Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering Pakistan (IEEEP) Power and Energy Society’s Student Branch Chapter has been launched at Sir Syed University of Engineering (SSUET).
An official of the University said here on Monday that the launching
of the PES was held at the Electrical Engineering Department at the
SSUET.
He was of the view that the PES would help develop professional as
well as technical skills of the students.
The event was organised by Engr. Abrar ul Huq, Assistant Professor
and Faculty Advisor and the inauguration ceremony was attended among
others, by Chancellor SSUET Jawaid Anwar besides Registrar Syed Sarfraz
Ali, Saqib Munawar, Former Branch Representative of Karachi section in
IEEEP, Chairman Karachi Section, Mohammed Ali Memon, Director ORIC SSUET
and the executive committee of IEEEP PES NEDUET Chapter witnessed the
event.
Both Chancellor Jawaid Anwar and Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali besides
PES Society members, Faculty Advise, Chairman ELED briefly addressed the gathering and appreciated the launch of the PES Chapter at SSUET.
They emphasized the importance of IEEEP, PES Student Chapter and
said this would help develop the professional and technical skills of
the students.
Both Chancellor and Registrar appreciated the inauguration of the
PES Student Chapter at SSUET’s Electrical and Electronics Engineering department and showed interest in holding more such events in future.
On the occasion, the Chancellor presented shields to Engr Saqib
Munawar, Member Executive Committee IEEEP, Karachi Section.
During the inauguration ceremony, the importance of being an IEEEP
member as well as the benefits of Power and Energy Society was discussed.
