Illegally detained TeH Tehsil president on hunger strike

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): The illegally detained Tehreek-e-
Hurriyet (TeH) Tehsil Rafiabad President, Aijaz Ahmad Bohroo, is
on hunger strike in protest against callous and inhuman attitude
of men in uniform at Sopore police station.
According to Kashmir Media Service, TeH spokesman in a
statement issued in Srinagar said, “Aijaz Bahroo, who was arrested
during the ongoing uprising, is in lock-up since then and police
is not allowing his family members to meet him and even they don’t
allow his family to bring food for him.”
The spokesman said Aijaz Bahroo has been kept with criminals
and is facing extreme cold as no facilities are provided to him.
He said that Tehsil President Shopian, Muhammad Amin Parey, was
arrested a year back, and was re-arrested after court ordered his
release and was lodged in a jail in Jammu. Police is unnecessarily
creating hurdles in his release, he added.
