India’s ED has nothing to prove against shabbir shah: DFP

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that India’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) has nothing to prove against its party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Shah.
The DFP in a statement issued in held Srinagar said Shabbir Ahmed Shah was not produced before a Delhi court. It said that the judge of Patiala House Court waited for the whole day but the ED did not produce Shabbir Shah before him, KMS reported.
For hours, the ED kept telling the court that Shabbir Shah will be produced through video conferencing but finally the agency came with an excuse of faulty camera, it added.
The statement said that Shabbir Shah should be released forthwith till the accusations against him are proved but the Indian authorities were not only prolonging his detention but also skipping the courts proceedings.
The DFP said these tactics are aimed at keeping the party chairman away from the court and to prolong his illegal detention. New Delhi has used such tactics in past as well to break the political will of Shabbir Shah but failed each time in its nefarious designs, it added.
Meanwhile, the DFP said that New Delhi had become habitual of ignoring promises made with Kashmiri people at international levels. These promises have been made through various resolutions at the United Nations of which the resolution of January 5, 1949 is of utmost importance. India has not only ignored the said resolutions but the promises of its first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.
