QUETTA, (APP): Inspector General Police, Balochistan, Ahsan Mehboob has formed special committee to conduct a probe into suicide bomb blast at Civil Hospital Quetta which claimed 72 innocent lives and injured 108 other people.
A spokesman of the Balochistan police said, here on Tuesday that a high level meeting presided by IG Police reviewed different aspects of the suicide blast and formed different committees including a special investigation committee to conduct a probe into the incident.
The meeting was attended by Additional IG, Muhammad Ayyub Qureshi, Additional IG and Commandant Balochistan Constabulary, Dr. Mujibur Rehman, Regional Police Officer and DIG Operations, DIG Special Branch, DIG Anti-Terrorism Department, SPP Operations and SSP Investigation.
The meeting reviewed security situation and decided to further beef up security in the metropolis to provide protection to masses.
“The special investigation committee headed by SSP Investigation will review all aspects of the suicide blast on scientific and technical basis,” the spokesman said.
