ISLAMABAD, (Millat + APP): All Parties Hurriyet Conference
Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmed
Shah strongly condemning the arrest of 31 youth from Nathnoosa
area of Baramulla and shifting them to different jails have said
the puppet authorities have converted the territory into a
big jail.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani in a
statement issued in Srinagar termed the action as the worst
example of state terrorism.
He said that this sheer lawlessness illustrated the egoistic
and autocratic behaviour of the puppet authorities.
The APHC Chairman said that it was injustice that mourners
were barred from sharing their grief for martyrs and even were not
allowed to offer their last rituals.
“It is shocking that police have filed cases against those
who participated in a martyr’s funeral prayers,” he said. He
demanded immediate release of Nathnoosa youth.
Syed Ali Gilani expressed his anguish over thrashing of
students and teaching staff at Lassipora in Pulwama by Indian
troops and said there were distressing reports from every
part of occupied Kashmir that Indian forces’ personnel were
creating situation horrifying like that of 1990s.
He deplored that the puppet authorities have converted
occupied Kashmir into a big jail and every soul in the territory
feels insecure in such horrifying circumstances.
The APHC Chairman said, records reveal that district
Baramulla lists top where people have been slapped with draconian
law, Public Safety Act, and detained in jails.
“The authorities have turned Baramulla Joint Interrogation
centre into a slaughter house and people are subjected to extreme
torture,” he said. While referring to some top police officers, he
said, “They are harassing the civilian population and taking undue
advantage of their post and position”.
