IOK court orders release of Mushtaq-ul-Islam, 5 others
ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The High Court in Indian occupied Kashmir has quashed the detention order under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), issued against Hurriyat leaders, Mushtaq-ul-Islam and Assadullah Parray, besides four other detainees and directed the puppet authorities to release them forthwith.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a bench of Justice Tashi Rabstan quashed the detentions of Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Muhammad Iqbal Kana and Jaffar Ahmad War after hearing their counsels, Wajid Haseeb and Ashiq Hussain.
“After all, preventive detention cannot be used as an instrument to keep a person in perpetual custody without trial,” Justice Rabstan observed, while quashing PSA detention of Mushtaq-ul-Islam.
Meanwhile, the bench of D S Thakur quashed detention of Hurriyat leader, Assadullah Parray after hearing his counsel, Naser Qadri.
