IOK court sends Masarrat Aalam on two-days police remand

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):A court in Handwara has sent illegally detained senior APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Masarrat Aalam Butt on a two-day police remand.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police had rearrested Masarrat Aalam Butt from the premises of Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu a few days back after the High Court of the occupied territory quashed his detention under black law, Public Safety Act. He was shifted to Handwara police station.
Masarrat Aalam Butt is undergoing continued detention since October 18, 2010 after he was arrested for spearheading the mass uprising that year.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the confinement of party chairman as clear manifestation of lawlessness. A JKML spokesman said that imprisonment of Masarrat Aalam Butt in one after another case was blatant violation of human rights.
