IOK hospitals transfused 1081 pints of blood in first 27 days

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): Hospitals, in occupied Kashmir,
consumed 1081 pints of bloods during the first 27 days of uprising
and most of it came from volunteers, media reports said.
After going through official records between July 9 and
August 5, the reports said that 784 pints came as donation and
hospitals provided 342 additional pints,reported Kashmir Media
Service.
Hospitals transfused 825 pints of blood of which 597 came
as donation in Srinagar,. In SMHS, 590 blood pints were transfused
to injured out of which 532 pints was donated by 228 volunteers
and 58 pints were provided by hospital blood bank,reported Kashmir
Media Service.
In SKIMS, 200 blood pints were transfused to injured
patients, out of which 50 were donated by volunteers. Blood bank
at SKIMS is having largest capacity to keep blood for needy and
can contain 1000 blood points safe at a time.
Details suggest that in Islamabad, Kulgam and Pulwama
districts, 204 pints of blood were transfused to injured persons
of which 156 pints were donated by volunteers and 48 pints were
provided by hospitals.
