IOK regime flayed for disallowing Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the puppet authorities for disallowing Juma prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar.
According to Kashmir Media Service(KMS), the Hurriyat forum spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that the authorities disallowed people from reaching Kashmir’s spiritual centre to offer Friday prayers and also placed Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house detention to stop him from delivering the weekly sermon.
He said that the Hurriyat forum registered a strong protest against the display of state terrorism in the form of strict curfew and huge deployment of Indian forces’ personnel across occupied Kashmir, blocking of communication lines, caging of Hurriyat leadership and activists to prevent people from staging peaceful protest against the unabated killing spree by Indian troops in the territory.
The spokesman said that every year January 26 (Indian Republic Day) and August 15 (Indian Independence Day) bring miseries to the people of occupied Kashmir as a huge deployment of Indian troops and police is made across the territory that cause huge inconvenience to the masses. In the run up to January 26 and August 15, Kashmiris are subjected to the worst form of harassment, frisking, bans and curbs, he added.
Meanwhile, the spokesman strongly condemned the continued illegal detention of forum leader, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, at Sherbagh police station in Islamabad town and house arrest of Engineer Hilal Ahmed War at his Maisuma residence in Srinagar.
On the other hand, the Jammu and Kashmir Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen in a statement also condemned the authorities for preventing people from holding Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, terming it as interference in the religious matters of the Muslims.
