ISLAMABAD,(Millat + APP): PML-N FATA Legislator Shahab-ud-Din has said
that merging of FATA into Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw according to FATA Reforms Bill would be benefitted for common people of the area.
Talking to BBC Radio , the Legislator said that earlier the Frontier
Crimes Regulations (FCR), political agents and some elites were empowered to run the affairs of the area due to which people were deprived of their basic rights.
He said the situation will be changed now as the children of poor
people of the area will be able to get basic education and livelihood as a result of this merging which is only feasible solution to connect it with thin line area which scattered from Chitral to Balochistan.
He said historically, FATA was part of the KP and now the people are
demanding to integrate with their previous province ,therefore, merging is only viable solution in this connection.
Replying to a question, Shahab-ud-Din said that the FATA Reforms Bill
is now in the committee for its final nod and it has been passed unanimously by both houses of the Parliament .
Central Secretary of Pukhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Abdur Rauf
Khan also suggested that Pukhtoons living in the Punjab (Mianwali), Balochistan, FATA and KP areas should be merged in a unit to be called Pakhtoonistan.
