Jirga gives deadline for arrest of accused in Asma case
MARDAN, (MILLAT ONLINE)::A Jirga in Mardan has given a deadline of 72
hours to police for arresting the culprits behind the brutal rape and murder of
a four-year-old girl, Asma.
The jirga warned the provincial government that they will come on roads
if the culprits were not nabbed within 72 hours.
Following the ultimatum, the district government of Mardan
has summoned All Parties Conference (APC) on Friday.
Earlier, police have arrested as many as 20 suspected
persons in the case.
The girl’s body was found three days ago after which her
medical tests were conducted that confirmed the girl was raped before murder.
Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal
Bhutto Zardari has condemned the incident in strong words and declared it as
horrible crime.
He demanded the authorities to provide justice to the victim’s family.
