JKLF condemns Bakhsi’s illegal detention, police raids

ISLAMABAD, (APP): The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front in
occupied Kashmir while condemning the continued detention of senior party
leader, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, and nocturnal raids on the residences of other leaders even in holy Ramzan, has said that such actions speak volumes about the anti-Kashmiri and anti-Muslim approach of the puppet authorities.
A JKLF spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that Showkat Ahmad
Bakhshi was arrested by Indian police on 25th May 2016, KMS reported.
He was kept under house arrest for some days and then shifted to Bemina police station from where he was shifted to central jail Srinagar on 4th June 2016.
The spokesman said that the authorities concerned were using delaying
tactics to prolong his detention even though the charges levelled against him were bailable.
He said that it was height of lawlessness practiced by civil
administration and police that Showkat Bakhshi was never presented before to
prolong his illegal detention.
The JKLF spokesman condemned this callous approach of the puppet
regime.
