JRL express concerns over torture on Kashmiri Inmates

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) in Indian Occupied Kashmir has expressed serious concern over subjecting Kashmiri inmates to barbaric torture by Indian officials in Tihar Jail.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said physical torture of Kashmiri inmates including Shahid Yousuf in Tihar Jail is a clear violation of fundamental, human and legal rights of prisoners.
They said that by keeping the Kashmiri political prisoners in jails of Jammu and India, the Indian authorities were violating the ruling of their own Supreme Court under which a prisoner had to be kept in a jail near to his home.
They appealed to the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, Asia Watch and other world human rights bodies to take strong note of the assault on the Kashmiri inmates.
On the other hand, the residents of Soibugh area of Budgam district staged forceful protests against the murderous attack on Shahid Yousuf in Tihar Jail.
