ISLAMABAD, (APP): Parliamentary Secretary for Information and
Broadcasting Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha has said law and order situation in
Karachi was improving due to the ongoing operation.
Talking to Pakistan Television (PTV), he said the operation was
beneficial for the citizens of the city as well as Sindh government.
He said the federal government had launched the operation after
evolving consensus among all the political parties to restore peace in the metropolitan city.
He said the paramilitary forces were taking indiscriminate action
against the elements involved in targeted killings, terrorism and extortion.
Ranjha said business activities were also increasing in the city due to
operation and traders were feeling their lives and properties more safe.
He said past governments were responsible for the worsening the law
and order situation in the city.
