Kashmiri masses to oust corrupt rulers in next elections: Barjees

BAGH, (Azad Kashmir), (APP): Minister for Kashmir and
Gilgit Baltistan Affairs Chaudhry Barjees Tahir on Thursday said
people of Azad Kashmir will overthrow corrupt rulers in upcoming
elections by voting Pakistan Muslim League into power.
Addressing a workers convention here, the minister said that
the AJK rulers did politics of victimization of the opponents during
the past 5 years, but now time has come to end their rule.
He said the present AJK government did nothing except corrupt practices, unfair appointments of party workers and spending budget
on non-development expenditures.
The minister said that the present AJK government even
appointed vice chancellors of the universities after allegedly
getting gratification money which was tantamount to playing
with the future of next generation.
He said he would write a letter to the Chairman Higher
Education Commission for inquiry into the appointment of
inefficient vice chancellors in AJK universities by he
incumbent government.
He said the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was committed
towards the uplift of Azad Kashmir and mega projects like
Islamabad-Muzaffarabad Motorway, railway link, Murree to
Muzaffarabad Expressway and Shounter Tunnel projects will
be completed on priority basis.
He asked the Kashmiri masses to elect PML (N) in
the upcoming election with overwhelming majority as this
would change their destiny.
He said that time for politics of victimization was
over and time for politics of service, motorways, schools,
colleges has come.
Barjees Tahir said that Kashmiris from across the
Line of Control also like Nawaz Sharif as he has been
striving for resolution of the long-standing dispute as
per wishes of the people of Kashmir.
He said Nawaz Sharif loves Kashmir and has several
times visited the area after becoming prime Minister of
Pakistan in 2013.
He said that the present rulers made appointments
on political grounds and rights of the deserving educated
people were violated. He said after coming to power the
PML-N government would make all appointment on merit
alone.
Criticizing the AJK President Sardar Yaqub Khan,he
said that he has appointed over 20 advisers but has done
nothing for the people of his constituency and
Hajira-Abbaspur road was in dilapidated condition.
Similarly he said that AJK prime minister has
appointed 34 ministers,and over 70 advisers and wasted
the developmental funds on the salaries and perks of
his cronies.
He announced that 50-kilometre road in central
Bagh District would be built soon.
