Kashmiris fighting for freedom from India: Nayeem Khan

ISLAMABAD, (APP): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader and
Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, has said that the Kashmiri people are fighting for a cause and they will continue their fight till they achieve the goal of freedom from Indian yoke.
Nayeem Ahmed Khan addressing a press conference in Srinagar said that a
false impression was being created that the Kashmiri students beat up the
Indian students at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Srinagar but the reality was totally opposite, Kashmir Media Service reported.
He said that some Hindu fanatics were hell bent upon defaming Kashmiri
people who had always put their lives at risk to ensure safety of non-local
students.
“Don’t these elements remember that Kashmir University students opened
their hearts and provided shelter to non-local students in the floods of 2014.
Who saved hundreds of non-local labourers in 2014 deluge?” he asked,
adding,”Even today, around five lakh non-local laborers are working in Kashmir and none is being harmed.” He said that the Kashmiris’ hospitability was known across the globe and they did not need any sanction from anybody.
The APHC leader asked the Indian students studying at the NIT to
concentrate on their studies and desist from attempting to raise Indian flag
in the campus. He said that these students must acknowledge that Kashmiris had never accepted the Indian flag because Jammu and Kashmir was an
internationally-accepted disputed region.
He maintained that Indian flag had always been an issue in occupied
Kashmir since 1947.
He said, no stone was left unturned by New Delhi to ensure the flag is
waved in Kashmir, but we didn’t allow it in the past and we will never allow
it in future.
