Kashmiris fighting for resolution of Kashmir dispute

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP): The Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz
Umar Farooq has said that the people of Kashmir are neither
against tourism nor supporters of terrorism but are fighting for a
honourable resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
The forum’s statement came in response to Indian Prime
Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks he made at Udhampur while
addressing a function on inauguration of a tunnel, asked the
Kashmiri youth to “choose tourism over terrorism”, KMS reported.
“Kashmiris are neither against tourism nor are supporters of
terrorism. They are also not against development and progress but
they are seeking honourable resolution of the longstanding Kashmir
dispute,” the statement added.
“Any articulation cannot change the basic reality of Kashmir
being a political issue that needs a political resolution,” the
forum said.
“Besides focusing on tunnels and roads, Modi should focus on
the resolution of the basic issue of Kashmir and start a
meaningful dialogue process so as to find a just and agreeable
solution of the issue in order to end the human tragedy in Jammu
and Kashmir,” it added.
