Kasur Incident: MOHR asks NCSW, NCHR to conduct inquiry
ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The Ministry of Human Rights has taken serious notice of Kasur incident and forwarded the case
to Chairman “National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR)” and “National Commission on the
Status of Women (NCSW) for conducting an inquiry in this regard.
The ministry condemned this barbaric incident and said that strong action should be taken
against the perpetrators, according to a statement of ministry issued here on Friday.
Two years back, officials from Ministry of Human Rights visited Kasur in order to probe the
heinous crime of child abuse in the vicinity of village Hussain Wala.
The HR officials’ delegation forwarded a solid and sound recommendation to take stern
action against the culprits. But unfortunately, the administration of Kasur apparently failed to
take steps in this regard.
The ministry also emphasized that there is a dire need to identify socio-economic affects
of the heinous crime of child abuse.
