Khursheed optimistic about solution of constituencies’ delimitation issue

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah on Tuesday expressed the hope that issue of the delimitation of constituencies would be solved in Senate before December 11.

Talking to media here, he said “I am confident that the issue of delimitation of constituencies will be solved before the summoning of next session of the Senate.”

Two third majority is required in the Senate to pass the delimitation of constituencies bill and the government needs help of opposition party to pass the bill.
The National Assembly passed Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2017, on October 16.
The bill was passed in NA with more than two third majority votes as total of 233 members voted in favor of it and one member opposed it.  
The opposition leader regarding Islamabad sit-in, said, that it had portrayed negative image of the country abroad.

Khursheed Shah said that it would have been much better if the Pakistan Muslim League (N) had brought the minister’s resignation issue in the parliament.

He said Pakistan People’s Party always stood with democracy and the parliament.

”PPP has taken strength from the parliament and always worked for the strengthening of democracy and the parliament” he added.

He said that Pakistan’s positive image, sovereignty and integrity must be safeguarded at every cost.
