SARGODHA, Feb 22 (APP):The growers have been receiving the
best rates of their kinnow orchards and best results of exports
were also being expected during current season.
Citrus Research Institute Sargodha (CRIS) Director
Muhammad Nawaz Maken told this scribe that good quality kinnow
was being demanded in markets and now growers and processors
demands regarding rates were being fulfilled accordingly.
He said that above 1,30,000 metric ton kinnow had been
exported to the international markets and hoped for the
best exports results from the region.
He stressed farmers to consult with the CRIS to cultivate
seedless kinnow which was demanding across the globe and
prepare a plan before flowering on trees.
The country’s exports would improve with introduction
of the latest qulaities of citrus and huge contribution will
also be included in the national exchequer with its trade,
he added.
