KP EC notifies reserved members of district and tehsil councils Abbottabad, Havelian
ABBOTTABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):Election Commission Khyber Phatunkhawa Tuesday notified new reserved members of district council
Abbottabad, Tehsil Council Abbottabad and Tehsil Council Havelian following the de-seat verdict
of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
As per details, after the verdict of SC against Zilla Nazim
Abbottaabad Sher Badaur and council members, the KP election commission under
Local Government Act 2013 with rule 41(4) notified new reserved members of
district council Abbottabad including Talha Yasmeen, Zarqa Shaheen, Mehr un
Nisa, Muhammad Safeer and Sardar Ahmed Zeb.
For Tehsil Council Abbottabad Sameena Bibi and Sardar Ghulam
Mustafa while for Tehsil Council Havelian Lubna Bibi and Haris Khan Jadoon were
notified. PMLN has decided to challenge the notification prior to the elections
of general councils in High Court and termed it as illegal.
It is expected that schedule for by-elections on general
seats in the three union councils of district Abbottabad would be issued soon.
