KP Minister announces Rs 5mln grant for Christian’s community centre

LOWER DIR, (APP): The Christian community from Lower Dir
announced to politically support the Jamaat-e-Islami in the district in view of its commitment to resolve minority issues.
The announcement was made during a function held at a local Church with
minister for finance Muzafar Syed in the chair here the other day.
Members of Christian community from different parts of the district
attended the function.
Besides area elders, district nazim Muhammad Rasool Khan, Balambat
tehsil nazim Imran ud Din, distrit councilor Nazir Gul, Pastor Aqeel Bhatti, Church in charge Riaz Mseeh, district councilor Shehzad Kokhar and Chudhry Rehmat Maseeh were also present.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for finance Muzafar Syed on this
occasion announced Rs 5 million for construction of community centre for Christians at Timergara.
He said the government was trying its best to resolve all issues faced
by minority in the province.
The Christian community elders on the occasion announced to support the
JI in future saying owing to sympathy and love of JI leaders all Christians were willing to support the JI in future.
They also thanked the minister for his earlier announcement of Rs 1
million for a graveyard for Christians in Dir.
