KP shortlists projects for showcasing in Beijing Road Show: Abdul Karim

PESHAWAR, Feb 14 (MILLAT/APP): Special Assistant to KP Chief Minister, Abdul
Karim Khan has said that projects for showcasing in Beijing Road Show regarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) have been shortlisted.
For this purpose, Industries & Technical Education, Information
Technology and Science & Technology Departments have evolved comprehensive strategy and presented a report and hectic efforts would be made to make them formal part of CPEC in the road show.
This he stated while presiding over a meeting of the CPEC working group
formed by the departments of industries, commerce, technical education, information & science technologies here on Tuesday.
Those who attended were included Secretary Industries, Farah Hamid,
Chief Strategy & Business Planning Hassan Ansari, Manager Director (MD) Information Technology Board, MD TEVTA, Mohibullah Khan, Assistant Economic Advisor, Mian Khalid, MD Small Industries Development Board (SIDB), Raheed Paindakhel, President, Mardan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI), Mohammad Sajjad and others.
The meeting discussed different development schemes in those sectors \
and reviewed matters for turning more useful in the context of CPEC for the province.
During the meeting the special assistant was also briefed regarding
different projects.
Speaking on the occasion, the Special Assistant while appreciating
efforts for giving practical shapes of these projects said that all CPEC related projects are of high importance. However, the projects of the collective interest should be planned on priority basis.
He said that under the game-changer project of CPEC, they wanted to
initiate such projects in collaboration with China, which would guarantee the economic development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while for the training of manpower, both countries will also include joint project of six-month training programme.
These projects, he said also included a 675 Mega Watt electricity
generating project from gas, which will be supplied to industries. He alos directed the officials for increasing mutual coordination for the completion of these projects.
He told the officers and experts of the departments that a presentation
on projects of industries, technical education, information technology sectors will be given to Chief Minister.
