LAHORE, (MILLAT/APP): The Lahore Transport Company (LTC)
has issued challan tickets to 3,813 public service vehicles
for not having fitness certificates during the current month.
The company also impounded 246 public transport vehicles
in jurisdiction of various police stations including Wahdat Road,
Factory Area, Chowki Raja Market, Shafiqabad, Garhi Shahu,
Muslim Town, Gulberg and others over violation of the traffic
rules.
Similarly, fine was also imposed on 95 vehicles and tickets
were issued to 973 public service vehicles for not having
route permits.
LTC CEO Khawaja Haider Latif said that main objective of
the department was to impart affordable and safe transport
facilities on various urban routes of the city.
