KARACHI, July 19 (APP): Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar paid a
detailed visit to different areas of the city after rain on
Wednesday.
He went to Burns Road, Saddar, Empress Market, Numaish, M.A.
Jinnah Road and the Rain Emergency Centre in the KMC Sports Complex
at Kashmir Road, said a statement.
He issued directive to concerned officials to take immediate
measures for the drainage of rainwater from roads and other places.
He checked the complaints received at the rain emergency centre
and directed the staff to ensure immediate solution to such problems.
Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hasan, opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly
accompanied him.
The Mayor Karachi said rain emergency centre will remain operational
round the clock to solve problems of citizens.
