ISLAMABAD, (APP): Pro-freedom leaders and organizations have
lambasted the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, for her remarks that the future of Kashmir is safe with India.
The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) in a statement in
Srinagar said the future of the territory is not safe but in serious danger with India.
“The original face and politics of Mehbooba Mufti and her party are fast
getting exposed. Surname `Mufti’ doesn’t entitle her to issue fatwas,” JKLF
added,Kashmir Media Service reported.
Slowly but surely, JKLF said, to hoodwink public opinion and deceive
people, these pro-India politicians used to act like pseudo-freedom lovers,
but after assuming power they are getting exposed gradually,” the party said.
The JKLF stated that India had occupied Jammu and Kashmir by military
might and today, after many decades, Jammu and Kashmir remained an
internationally-acknowledged dispute. “India and its forces have made lives of millions of Kashmiris a hell for the last many decades. “Claiming that our future is safe with this country is actually a clumsy joke,” it said.
The Kashmir’s High Court Bar Association in a statement issued in
Srinagar refuted her views. The Bar said Kashmir is an internationally-
accepted dispute and its resolution lies in the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions.
The association maintained the final disposition of the territory had
to be made in accordance with the will of people to be ascertained through a democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite to be conducted under the auspices of the United Nations. The Bar said Pakistan suffered and became a target of terrorism only because it supports the cause of the people of Kashmir politically, diplomatically and morally.
