Mushtaq-ul-Islam shifted to unknown destination: Family
ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):As the High Court quashed the illegal detention of Hurriyat leader Mushtaq-ul-Islam the puppet authorities have shifted him to some unknown place.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mushtaq-ul-Islam was arrested by the Indian police some seven months ago from the residence of his sister in Tengpora Bypass area of Srinagar. Subsequently, he was booked under the PSA and was shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.
One of the family members said that Mushtaq-ul-Islam was arrested on the charges of indulging in anti-India activities, but the court had acquitted him from the charges framed against him by the police.
The family members of the detained leader have said that they were unaware about his whereabouts and were visiting every jail looking for him.
He said that the court of Justice Tashi Rabstan quashed the detention of Hurriyat leader under PSA on December 13 and directed the authorities concerned to release him. “We produced the court order before the Kot Bhalwal jail authorities. Instead of releasing him, the jail authorities shifted Mushtaq-ul-Islam to an unknown place,” he deplored.
