NAB arrests main accused in Rs 168 mln land allotment case

KARACHI, (MILLAT+APP): National Accountability Bureau (NAB-
Karachi) has arrested the main accused in Rs 168 million land grabbing
case from FB area of the city.
A press release of the NAB on Tuesday said that accused Muhammad
Shakir alias Shakir Langra was nominated in reference No. 46/2016. for
illegal allotment in Surjani Town alongwith 14 other including KDA
officers and private persons.
Accused Muhammad Shakir in capacity of DDO (Shifting) Karachi
Development Authority (KDA) was charged for making fake allotments
and transfer files to create 281 residential plats on 14 amenity
sites of Surjani Town by way of “China cutting” in consideration of
millions of bribe money.
These plots were later on sold to private people causing loss
of Rs 168 millions to national exchequer, it added.
