PESHAWAR, (APP): Additional Director, National Accountability Bureau, Tariq Khan Friday said NAB like in Khyber Pakthunkhwa was also active against eradication of corruption in Fata and can arrest any
corrupt official working in tribal areas.
Addressing a seminar against corruption at tehsil Jamrud jirga’s hall attended by the tribal elders in large number, the Additional Director
said jurisdiction of NAB was not only limited to KP but it can also
arrest any officials working in Fata on charges of corruption.
The officers of NAB, he said, are working tirelessly against
elimination of corruption and urged tribal elders to join hands by
extending full support to the anti corruption body in its efforts to
wipe out the menace once and for all.
He said corruption leads to social injustice, economic imbalances, undermines development and weaken the social fabric of the society.
Tariq Khan said those societies that had eliminated corruption,
achieved great achievements and success in world.
