ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): Visitors are taking great interest in bookstalls put up at various Railway stations under a project of the National Book Foundation (NBF) to promote book reading culture among people. These bookshops being run at various Railway Stations including Rawalpindi, Quetta, Karachi, Lahore, Failasabad, Peshawar and Gujrat also facilitate passengers by offering them relevant books. According to an official of NBF a number of people are buying books at platform shops, adding the books of poetry, literature, informative, general knowledge, stories and magazines are available at those points. The official added the Foundation also conducted book fairs, festivals, publishes books of local writers and entertainment magazines besides providing books at discounted rates. He said that 55 percent discount was available at NBF sales outlet and 50 % on other prescribed book shops for the registered members throughout the country. He said that NBF had been publishing books relating to history,culture, and national leadership to promote the soft image of the country.
