NDMA chairman reaches GB to review relief activities

ISLAMABAD, (APP)- In coordination with the Gilgit Baltistan
(GB) government and with assistance of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) had sent 13.5 tons of relief goods to GB via C-130.
The relief goods included wheat flour, milk powder and other dry
ration beside 550 shelters and 350 blankets. More flights of C-130 have also been scheduled to send ration to GB till opening of Karakoram Highway (KKH).
Chairman NDMA Major General Asghar Nawaz on Wednesday reached GB
to review the relief activities.
Chairman NDMA is also scheduled to meet with GB
Chief Minister and other officials to coordinate relief
effort in the wake of closure of KKH.
