Nehal Hashmi sentenced to one month jail in contempt of court case
ISLAMABAD,(MILLAT ONLINE):The Supreme Court on Thursday announced verdict in contempt of court case against Senator Nehal Hashmi and sentenced him to one month imprisonment and barred him from holding public office for five years.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and comprising Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Maqbool Baqar announced the verdict and also imposed Rs 50,000 fine on Nehal Hashmi.The bench dismissed an unconditional apology which was submitted by Nehal Hashmi on January 24.As the verdict was announced Nehal Hashmi was taken into custody by police from the courtroom.
