MULTAN, (APP): Leaders of Pakistan Kissan Ittehad (PKI)
expressed pleasure over reduction in electricity tariff for
agriculture tubewells in budget 2016-17.
Muhammad Ishnaaq Watto, Ahmed Nawaz Astar, Nazar Khan Daha, and
Chaudhary Khalid while talking to APP hailed the budget and termed
it farmers friendly. They appreciated the reduction in electricity
tariff to Rs 5.35 which would surely help promote agriculture sector.
They stated that it was age-old demand of farmers.
Similarly, the decrease in prices of fertilizers and pesticides would
serve as tonic for agriculture sector. It would improve financial
condition of the peasants, they added.
