Night raids won’t deter us from pursuing freedom cause: TeH

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): Tehreek-e-Hurriyet (TeH) Jammu
Kashmir has condemned the arrest spree unleashed by the puppet
authorities saying that these arbitrary arrests and night raids could not deter the Kashmiri people from pursuing their struggle for right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the TeH while denouncing the
detention of its leaders including Imtiyaz Ahmad Sofi, Fayaz Ahmad Mir and Raja Malik in a statement in Srinagar said that all its office bearers and
activists believed in peaceful struggle and there was no justification for declaring them as offenders.
Police had declared TeH tehsil Pahalgam President, Imtiyaz
Ahmad Sofi, as proclaimed offender.
The Tehreek-e-Huriyet termed the arrest of Imtiyaz Ahmad
Sofi, Mashooq Ahmad Butt, Nazir Ahmad War, Mohammad Ashraf War and
Mohammad Salem under black law, Public Safety Act (PSA), and
lodging them in jails outside the Valley as unjustified and
barbaric.
The statement said, “People are herded into open fields,
subjected to severe torture, checking, intimidation and their
belongings and houses are searched, ransacked and inmates are
harassed in this chilling cold.”
The TeH said that such suppressive and callous measures
would not be able to deter the Kashmiri people from pursuing their
freedom mission. It demanded the release of all detainees.
