MULTAN, (MILLAT+APP): Chairman District Council, Mayor Municipal Corporation among representatives of local bodies took oath in an auspicious ceremony organized in Raza Hall here on Saturday.
District Election Commissioner Ahmad Ali administered the oath taking ceremony of Chairman District Council Deewan Abbas Ali Bukhari, Vice Chairmen Wajid Ali Shah, Rana Sheraz Noon, Malik Zulfikar Dogar and Malik Sarfraz.
Similarly Returning Officer Rizwan Qadeer administered oath of Mayor-elect Naveed Araein, Deputy Mayors Munawar Ahsan Qureshi and Muhammd Saeed Ansari.
MNA Ghaffar Dogar, MPA Shukat Bosan, MPA Ahsan-ud-din Qureshi, MPA Shehzad Maqbool Bhutta, former provincial minister Abdul Waheed Araein, and Acting DCO Manzar Javed were present in the ceremony.
Later both Chairman District Council and City Mayor in their short address vowed to coordinate each other for development of the district.
